My Mum's hands

This weeks writing task was a free-verse poem about ''my Mums hands''.We practise using semi -colons, a range of sentence length and using better vocabulary. Our poems are based on an original poem written by Gary O'Connell. I chose to write about my mum because she was someone very special to me.

My Mum's Hands by Sonny

My mum's hands

Are soft as a baby's hands.

Her back,is as soft as a pillow.

Her legs,is strong as a Samoan person.

Her laugh is a wind blowing.

Her voice is a singing troll.

living peacefully.

Wrapped with music.

  1. Kia Ora Sonny,
I really like how you stayed positive in the poem.
Did you think of anybody else you could do a peom on?
Maybe next time you could add some more semi colons.
If you had to pick somebody else for the poem who would you pick?
    Kind Regards Leandri
